Street Beats - students will learn the
history of the hip hop movement and develop positive
skills in rhyme, rap, street art and DJ. They will
create their own murals, music and songs and learn
positive writing skills, presentation skills, memorization
and public speaking.
**
Dance Fusion - students will interweave
basic moves of tap, ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical,
interpretive, hip-hop and other dance styles. They
will then put them all together in choreography
to understand how they all work and compliment one
another.
**
Kids Capoeira - students will learn this
Brazilian martial arts fight/ dance, along with
how to use the instruments, sing in Portuguese and
learn valuable non-violent conflict resolution skills.
**
Drumming For Peace - students will use
buckets, sticks, cans etc. to create organic sounds
and learn chants and poems that encourage character
building and rhythmic learning.

Kids Yoga - Yoga is not just for adults.
Kids can have a blast doing it too! Increase your
flexibility, learn secrets to relaxation and learn
the art of yoga from a professional instructor!

Mural Arts - Work with a local professional
mural artist to create your own school or class
mural and discover how to make amazing art through
combining everyone's ideas together around a common
theme!

Book Art - Ever wanted to write your
own book? What about designing it too? You can do
both with the help of a professional author and
book artist! Bring books to life by acting and doing
skits too!
**
Recycled Fashion - Learn how to make
your old clothes into new clothes, shopping bags,
head bands and more with a professional local artist!
You will redesign your clothes and make them into
awesome fashion statements!

Animators Club - Students will learn
how to use a computer to create and animate games,
stories, maps, cartoon characters and music! The
sky is the limit in this creative animation explosion!

Dancing Bears - This class is taught
by an award-winning songwriter and musician that
will teach young kids rhythm and creative expression
through music and dance.
**
Young Songwriters - Ever wanted to write
a song and never known where to start? This class
will help encourage young songwriters to express
themselves through song with an award-winning songwriter
as your instructor!

Photography - Photos can be used to tell
stories … about our neighborhoods, our favorite
things or things we find really sad and really funny.
Learn how to use a camera to tell your stories!
**Junkyard Drumming - Ever wonder how to turn buckets and kitchen utensils into amazing musical instruments? Learn from a professional drummer how to make a joyful noise and captivate the curious with amazing rhythms made with recycled "junk."

Cartoons - Learn how to draw cartoon
faces of yourself and your friends and make up your
own cartoon stories! Professional artists will teach
you the skills and techniques that make it easy!

West African Drum & Dance - Learn
the rhythms and dance that make this fun and exciting
culture come to life in song and dance! Learn about
the clothes, the culture and how to play the instruments!
**Break
Dance - students will learn basic and advanced
break dance skills and choreography. They will develop
coordination and presentation skills, physical fitness
and be given public opportunities to showcase their
talents.
Movies
& Acting - students will produce their own
short films and commercials and learn memorization,
public speaking and theatre skills. Students will
be featured on their own DVD's at the end of class.

Readers Theatre - students will learn
the basics of acting and bring their own stories,
as well as popular stories, to life through acting
and drama.
**Cooking
- students will learn some simple recipes that
are healthy and affordable they can do at home.
Each class will feature a different style food group.
Science
- students will learn about science in a hands-on
fashion. The topics might be the ocean, storms,
bugs & insects or any other applicable discipline.

Live Reptiles - students will learn first
hand handling, videos, books and lessons on reptiles,
snakes, lizards and crocodiles from around the world.
Live animals will be brought into the classroom
each week!
**Hot
Topic - students will learn the latest "hot
topic" in the media or a desired discipline
from a local professional. Topic content may vary
based upon need.
Career
Exploration - students will take field trips
to the businesses of local professionals to learn
more about what it takes to succeed in various fields
of interest.
Magic
& Juggling - students will learn a variety
of magic tricks, problem solving skills, presentation
skills, juggling routines and communication skills
and take home some magic tricks.
Money
Makers - Learn from a local business owner about
how to run your own business! You will create your
own product and sell it and do all the marketing,
market research and promotions yourself. You don't
have to go to business school to learn how to create
your own successful business.

Art In Action - Learn from a local professional
artist about how to create stunning art yourself.
You might make t-shirts, sculptures, collages, do
water color art or some amazing paintings…and
your art will be submitted to different galleries
for display!
Street
Dance - Learn the funkiest and latest hip hop
and street dance moves and choreography! Afraid
that you don't have any rhythm or moves… don't
worry! Everyone learns together in this class.
